Simphony on Android

Did anyone tried Micros Simphony on Android Tablets. If so what is your feedback. What works what doesn't.

Could you do the configuration on Android Tablet?

I tried on galaxy tab A (Android 5.1) and installed CAL 138, I did the CAL process to server but i have an error.

Please let me know if you have an a tip, both can help each other.

Oracle only supports up to v4 of Android (ie - before Android started installing its security features). Thats probably why you are getting the error.

Believe they recently released Simphony 18.2. The release notes say you can use the following Android versions for clients;
•Tablets running the Android version Lollipop (5.0 and 5.1), Marshmallow (6.0), or KitKat (4.4) mobile operating systems
•Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch, 8-inch, and 11-inch
•Google Nexus

Support has been added for the Android Nougat and Oreo mobile operating systems on Android devices.
The Oracle Hospitality Simphony Configuration Guide, specifically the POS Workstation section, contains more information about Android devices.
The Oracle Hospitality Simphony Client Deployment Guide, specifically the CAL on Workstations section, contains information about installing CAL or a Service Host on Android devices.

The Client install guide has a detailed process for installing CAL and Simphony on Android devices. Can post a copy if need be.
