Silly question about SP2 and SP1 for XP Pro? 1

Under add and remove programs my system shows a bunch of SP2 critical updates and patches already installed. Now for the silly question. Does that mean I dont't need SP1 updates? Thanks and happy holidays to all.

There are pre-SP2 Hotfixes, there is the original Service Pack 1 and 1a, there is a rollup of post-Service Pack 1 fixes:

My reading is that the rollups are the end of the cycle for Service Pack 1 related Hotfixes. Everything now until mid-2004 with the release of Service Pack 2 are pre-Service Pack 2 Hotfixes.

But honestly, let Windows Update decide.

Thanks Bcastner, apparently my system info indicates SP1 is installed and the SP2 items in add/remove programs are the result of Windows Update activity. I strongly urge all Windows users to install all critical updates and patches as Microsoft operating systems seem to be be full of hidden holes that users of the OS are not fully aware of when using the product.
