I have a Non-Acd customer that has several external numbers routing to multiline keys. Once answered by a user, they would like to have the ability to silently monitor/listen to these calls from another extension. I've been told that this isn't possible against a multiline key. They don't want to go down the Acd route, as it would completely change their way of working.
Does anyone have a work around or any info on this matter?

Thanks in advance for any help given.

At one time Mitel manufactured a DLM (digital line monitor) device that could be wired inline with a DNIC set (i.e., at the mDF) and had an analog output that could be recorded or audibly monitored via a speaker or headphone or you could wire the audio to the MOD side of an E&M trunk and dial-up the trunk.

The DLM's were approx the same size as the old Dataset 1 except in a white case. They worked well as long as you didn't need a lot of them. Mitel also at one time made a rackmount iteration of this but I never saw one of those. The individual DLMs I have seen several times.

These were long ago manufacture-discontinued and are quite scarce even on the secondary market, but can sometimes be found.
