Trying to allow for sign-off on a sheet built in Excel97. Any ideas, I thought there was a autosignature part of the software, but I can't even find this in the Knowledge base of M'soft. Maybe it's another software I'm thinking of. If you have an option for making a sign-off exclusive to one user, please give options here.

Thanks in advance,

Bsimm

GO TITANS!

Hi - two ideas off the top of my head...

1) Have track changes on, and highlight changes on screen. Have a cell where the person has to add their name for sign off. Track Changes records the name of the person who signed off, and when.

2) Have a macro that verifies the user by checking the system options.

Neither of the above are foolproof, but I don't think the software is designed for much more. There are of course a thousand or so other options involving more VBA.

Kadam.

Thanks for your reply,

I have a little VBA experience, would rather use it than the tracking changes. I've not been able to find much information in any of the help files though.
