Signalling Server/CP-PM will not fully link up

New install CP-PM Sig Server. Green LED keeps blinking. I have re-installed software (Succession 5.0),swapped out, elan patch cable, and of course rebooted several times. I can ping IP address via Ld 117, and can also get into Element Mgr via Tlan. I can also get into switch via virtual term. Am I missing something? Any ideas anyone?

Flashing green indicates the link to the pbx (active call server) is down.

In Element Manager did you add the Sig Server to the Node ? If not, you need to.
 
Most of the time you transmit the configuration and this will fail the first time then reboot the server and transmit again. The first time only sets the IP address.

Yes, it is added in Element Mgr. I think it may be a problem with no H.323 licenses in switch. Thanks
 
you don't need them to use a sig server, but you need at least one in order for the link to fully establish..........

element manager should work fine........your problems will occur if you ever have more than one MG since your DSPs won't register unless the pbx link is established.....

Check in SS CLI if you got an error like " COMUNICATION SERVER SW not correct -> Upgrade call server software".
I had the same problem in a cs1ke and I find a specific patch on nortel Site.
 
what are you doing ? are you adding a follower or installiing a new leader?

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Thanks for the input from everyone. Customer is OK with the ability to access pbx via Virtual Term. He doesn't need H.323 license for now.
