We have a CS1000m-MG on 7.65. We have an IBM COTs signaling server deployed as our primary security server and signaling server leader.

We want to deploy another IBM COTs signaling server to be a follower for redundancy. We've loaded the Linux Base, installed the 4 patches, and added it as a member server in the security domain. We've successfully committed and deployed it.

However, when we try to add it to the node and transfer the node properties it fails the transfer with error "unable to reach server".

Are we missing a step or doing something wrong?

I've researched other threads that reference "OPT E" while booting from disk. I booted from disk but don't see anything regarding "OPT E". How do you invoke that?

Disregard, we got it going. Looks like everything started working after installing the SP on both servers.

Order of sequences to do this properly
1. Install Linux OS and base patches
2. Deploy the Server
3. Install Linux Service Pack

But you already probably know this now.
