OS: Windows 2000 SP2
AV: InoculateIT 6.0 build 096 incl. patches

Problem:
Clients operating on a different subnet do not send updates
to the Admin Server regarding their current Sig Version.

Details:
Subnet#1
The Admin Server is on subnet#1 and there are no problems
regarding clients on this subnet.

Subnet#2
On subnet#2 the following works OK.

- Installing clients with InoculateIT
- Moving clients into correct branches
- Distribution of policy settings from Admin Server to clients
- Distribution of new signature files from Admin Server to clients

Both the logs for the clients in subnet#2 + running a local sigcheck.exe gives me the latest distributed sig version.

Subnet#2 problem
The only thing that does not work is the auto-update of the fields inside the Administrator's View, for these clients. The Summary view for the Subnet shows that the Sig Version is 23.43.0/10.3.13.00
(which are the initial versions) for all clients.

I'm wondering if it could be a problem with the port#42509 that delievers info from the clients to the Admin Server.

I have not found any patch/tech.paper regarding this on CA's support pages.

Yes, I have checked that the Cisco units involved do forward info on the 42508-42510 ports.

Anyone who can help me out?

on the subnet properties specify specific election and point it to a machine that will always be on (ie a Server) and then that machine will gather the information and submit it to the admin server Thanks

That worked out nicely. I had set up the election method
to 'Biased' instead of 'Specified'.

Thank you!

Yes that was the ticket for me as well. Thanks ErikButler.

Sorry for a double post but I thought I'd mention that I was having the same problem in eTrust 7.0 on Windows Server 2003. The original problem was on InoculateIT 6.0. Anyway this fixed me as well.
