All,
I am green when it comes to PBX's and I am having an issue that I believe is "fixable". I have a call coming in on the path below and forwarding it to a cell number, I dont want to see the calling party number of the original caller but want to see the extension of the phone doing the forwarding. Is this possible?

cell phone 5555 call -> ext 1000 --> call forward to home number 2000. The call does not work because the SIP trunk we receiving and sending call out of is looking at the calling party number and it has to be registered with the SIP provider. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think I'm going to be able to answer the question because you said SIP, but at the very least we're going to need to know what model phone system you have? Some of them have settings that may or may not affect how the number goes out,

Hmmmmm. I have been trying to figure this out as well. If some calls my extension and it is forwarded to my home number, my home number would be displayed. Any way to block this?

I am on 4000 v5 with open stage 40 phones tdm.

Thanks.

That's interesting. When I forward my phones out of the building the person calling my extension usually sees "Public Network" on their display. Maybe that's an ISDN PRI thing.

My 4000 is V5 also - I'll have to mess with that a little bit and see if I can duplicate it.

I buried the training into the cost of the upgrades I have planned. It's more than likely if it flies it won't be until 2013 because the infrastructure has to be upgraded first, but you never know if they just decide to lease and go with the whole enchilada. If it happens I'll be in texas for at least 2 weeks... at least that's what I thought it was...)
