Siemens Rolm PBX CDR

Is it necessary to purchase an option that allows the Siemens Rolm PBX to output cdr through a serial port on the switch?

The CDR output is a standard feature that comes with the base system. This is true for both the Rolm 9005 and HiCom series PBXs.

If I recall correctly, information on configuring CDR is available in the CLI reference manual on the 9005 and in a separate CDR booklet for the HiCom. Robert Harris

On the 9005 systems, CDR is actually a purchasable feature. In CLI, at the % sign, type LI OPTIONS, this will show which features are activated or deactivated.

If you need help with CDR let me know. I have installed it on three Rolm 9751 pbx. All you need to do is setup a port on the SMIOC card and connect it to a buffer or to a computer with procomm installed. Then start the CDR. If you need more info, please let me know and I can post the instructions here.
