Siemens Open Stage 40 SIP Error

Hello,

I am new to the Siemens side of phone switches and seem to have an error that I am not sure how to correct, if someone could point me in the correct area to correct error that would be a big help.

Getting error on display screen of hard phone 'No Telephonhy possible (LI), which I do not think is the problem. When I turn on the speak on the hard phone I get the message 'Unable to select an outgoing line'. Phone will register with switch but unable to get a working outbound line, would someone know that best place to start to correct this function?

Hi,
Are you using a power supply or do you have Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Looks like a bad connection on the LAN cable ??

LI1 means 'no network connection'

Can you get into the phone menu and start pinging the gateway etc. to assist you

Every time I ran into this, it turned out to be a cable problem. Either a defective path cord or actually defective wiring in the building.

Use a cable tester all the way from the network switch back to the phone lead.
Use new cables when possible

Just confirmed that you do get LI1 when there's no DHCP available too.
