PS
We have a Hipath 4000v3 with a HG 3540/50 V2.0 card for sip trunking with an Elastix system . We can make calls between the systems but cannot transfer calls from the hipath to elastix ( not possible shows on screen) . We can transfer calls from the elastix to Hipath.
Some of the scenarios I tried and may help in identifying the problem are as follows:
Source Destination Transferred to

Hipath -> Hipath -> elastix (works)
Hipath -> Elastix -> Hipath (works)
Elastix -> Hipath -> elastix (doesn't work)
External call -> Hipath -> elastix (doesn't work)

Please let me know for any info you need me to post and thank you for your assistance.

Please post the TDCSU config, and COT and COP for the HG3540 SIP Trunking circuit.

What is being dialed from the HiPath to reach the far end? A station number configured in WABE as DAR=STN, with a DESTNO?
Or are you dialing a trunk access code, configured in WABE as DAR=TIE? Please explain clearly.

After looking at your chart, I just realized that this problem is a Trunk-to-Trunk issue. There was recently a similar Trunk-to-Trunk issue posted in this forum. Please find it and have a look, but I'm not sure if the problem was resolved.

It's configured as DAR=TIE with access code 5 ( all elastix extensions are 5XXXX) . I read the other post but i cant transfer a call on the same trunk circuit.

Sounds like it could be an LCOSV problem. The SIP trunks are assigned LCOSV "32". Check all LCOSV and Auth settings with your stations and throughout your LCR e.g. LDPLN, LDAT, etc.

I will check as you suggested . I have a question a bit off topic , I would like for the users to transfer the call using the # key , I tried by
ADD-WABE:CD=#,DAR=TRNSKY; but that didnt work .

Thanks for your help.

I suspect that your 4K already has other feature codes in WABE that begin with "#". If that is true, then you cannot use "#" alone as a feature code, because then you have overlapping digit patterns. Example: if "#9" is already configured as Station Forwarding, how could a user invoke Call Forwarding if "#" was also configured as a feature code? The 4K analyzes each digit as it is dialed - unlike OpenScape Voice, which analyzes dialed digits "en bloc" (as a whole string).
Plus, the DAR code does not sound correct.

Most users use the OptiGuide to invoke transfer. OptiGuide is the "helper" that appears on the Optiset/optiPoint display to assist users with features. But this would not be a valid option if your users have analog sets.

By the way, I cannot verify whether your COT is accurate, as I am in the USA. Our recommended COT values are intended for the USA. Since your SIP Trunks are using the ECMAV2 protocol, I assume that you are in Europe. Someone familiar with the European COT/COP values should validate your entries.

True , there are other future codes beginning with "#" ,i wanted this as a temporary solution as i realized I can transfer the call by pressing "#" (attended call transfer code set in elastix, i get a dial tone from elastix) if the case was Elastix -> Hipath -> elastix.

Can you suggest a DAR code ,regarding transfer?

I checked LCOSV and Auth settings and all seems fine.

Can you explain more on "A station number configured in WABE as DAR=STN, with a DESTNO?" from your previous post , i have very little experience with hipath and would like to try this out.

You could use ## if there are no other entries that start with that string.

What i understood from "Iamnothere" post that DAR=TRNSKY does not sound correct , can you please confirm that TRNSKY , is the right option. Thanks

According to my V5 AMO Manual under WABE:

DARs for key function assignment

KYPROG Key programming on digite
KNOVRKY Knocking/camp-on, override key
DNDKY Do not disturb
IUSEKY Show-line-key-I-use key

FWDKY Call forwarding key
MSGRKY Messenger key (CHESE)
MBKY Mailbox key
DAKY Non-voice key
VCRKY Voice call reject key

DSSKY Direct station select key
EXHOLDKY Exclusive hold key

FLASHCD Equivalent flash signal code
STKY Start key/output
RLSKY Release/Cancel key
TRNSKY Call transfer key
TIMEKY Date/time
LNRKY Last number redial key
SNRKY Saved number redial key

So theoretically that's the right parameter, but I never tried to re-map it, and I might also hazard a guess that in your dialplan you are only allowed one of every function, so if the Transfer key is somehow already programmed for that function you may not be able to assign it to another key - but that's just me guessing....)

Yesterday I would have bet money that there is also a "Transfer" DAR, but I was wrong. Apparently there is no dialable code for the transfer feature. The Transfer feature can only be assigned to a key on a phone, thus I suppose the DAR is "TRNSKY".

Before we get too far with this discussion, are you 100% SURE that user error is not the problem??? I cannot tell you how many times I have worked on TRANSFER problems, only to learn later that the user was clueless. Have you or the users attempted to perform these transfers using OptiGuide???

The method of dialing that you have chosen to use is referred to as "open" dialing, which starts with a "TIE" code, "5" in your case, followed by digits which are usually a remote station number. This method is most common in Europe.

The alternative is "closed" dialing, where you dial only the remote station number. You built LCR to support the "5" + station number dialing. That config required AMOs RICHT, LDAT, LODR, and perhaps others, to build the "route". Then in LDPLN you assigned that "route" as a means to complete your "5-xxxx" call.

With "closed" dialing you do not need a TIE code or AMO LDPLN. Your RICHT and LDAT must be setup differently. Closed Dialing requires that the station numbers in all locations be UNIQUE. Simple Closed Dialing cannot work if there is a station "10000" at site A and also a station "10000" at site B - although we can resolve the problem using Virtual Numbering (VNR) if the customer insists on using Closed Dialing, but does not wish to change any station numbers. For more on VNR, see below.

Back to your situation: AMO RICHT will need to be configured as "CD" rather than "LRTENEW". "CD" technically means "CODE", but I think "Closed Dialing" is a much better definition. To build Closed Dialing in RICHT, you must FIRST create a "NETRTE" code in WABE. It does not need to be a meaningful number - or dialable - it just must exist! I think it can include special characters so that it does not use valuable first digits. I do not have time to fully explain, so please read about how to configure "Network LCR". In RICHT, after entering the Route number AND the "CD" (the number that you built in WABE with DAR=NETRTE), you also assign a DESTNO to the route (1-99 I think - must be unique!). This "DESTNO" replaces the need for an LDPLN entry. Then build the LODR, and LDAT. In WABE, you add each remote station numbers, using DAR=STN. Several parameters further down in WABE, you may assign the DESTNO that you created in RICHT. So WABE now knows all of the remote station numbers, and how to reach those station numbers (via a DESTNO). If done properly, a user simply dials a remote station number. A match is made on the dialed number in WABE, and the DESTNO is used to determine how to route the call. You assigned the DESTNO to a RICHT, and that RICHT is now used to provide the "permission" to use a specific trunk group or groups, and the corresponding LDAT provides the rest of the data, such as the outdial rule (echo 1) and authorization.

In the USA, closed dialing is the preferred method dialing between multiple systems with unique station numbers at each site.

If unique station numbers are NOT available at each location, we can still use closed dialing by invoking Virtual Numbering (VNR), which allows us to add "location" codes to each station number. Using the previous example where both sites have a station "10000", VNR would allow me to assign a location code to each site, thereby making the station numbers unique. With VNR, we could use 33-10000 to reach the site A station, and 34-10000 to dial the station at site B. The "33" and "34" look like TIE codes, but they are NOT. LCR is not used to process this call.

First of all thankyou for your explanation.
Yes I'm sure about the transfer , I tried it using OptiGuide and flash on analog handsets and it was not possible.
Stations are unique on the 2 sites , won't have to worry about that for now but it was good to know about the workaround for future purposes maybe.

I tried setting up a closed dialing plan using 8600 as a test extension on elastix but now when I dial from hipath is shows not authorized on the screen , I suspect something with LCOSV because when I change LCOSV value to 1,3,6 or 32 in a stations SBCSU it show not possible , but I'm not sure whats the problem. Kindly have a look at the config . Thanks again.

Needle in a haystack. Keep looking. It IS possible. The "Not Possible" is merely a hint that something somewhere has blocked that feature. I assume that you cannot open a ticket with SEN. Running a quick trace would locate the root of the problem.

If I were there I would definitely be looking at that COT. It looks so different from what we use. Later today I will send you the USA recommended COT for V3 HG3540.
