If you search halfway your extension list you will find the slave ports of the digital extensions.
For example if you have put the analog adapter on a phone that is connected to slu 2-5 master you will also find a port in your extension list that is named 2-6 slave.
Here you can assign a name and number as usual.
Note that you'll need a extra power supply for the analog phone
That is exactly what I have done. I have tried 2 different analog adapters. I am using an analog phone from Radio Shack. I tried a didgital adapter and that worked. Do you have to assign the type as an answering machine, modem, or fax? I have tried each of those 3 and still nothing. Any other suggestions. Thanks.
Where at do you plug the power supply in. The back of the Optipoint has a plug for the port, for the handset, and for the BLF. The analog adapter only has one plug for the analog phone. Thanks.
The power supply will plug into a AC wall outlet, there will be 2 rj11 jacks on it. One will plug into the rj11 wall outlet (from the PBX) the other runs to the Optiset. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE GREEN ENDED BASE CORD PROVIDE WITH THE POWER ADAPTOR RUNNING BETWEEN THE POWER ADAPTOR AND THE OPTISET, OR IT WILL NEVER WORK!
