I need some help deleting an SCSU record. When I try to change the KEYM field to zero ( to remove the key module ) I get an F139 message which reads:
F139 : 3802 STNO CANNOT BE DELETED OR NUMBER OF KEY MODULES CANNOT BE REDUCED SINCE KEYM STANDARD IS NOT VACANT (AMO-KEPRO,KEYM1STD-KEYM4STD).
H09: 3802 SUBSCRIBER DATA HAS BEEN MODIFIED.
AMO-SCSU -111 SUBSCRIBER CONFIGURATION IN THE SWU

I have deleted all the keys via KASU and all the line appearances on other phones, but I still cannot change the SCSU record or delete it.

Any ideas?

What this is telling you is that the STD (faceplate) you have assigned to the phone contains a Key Module.

Most likely there are still lines or other programmable buttons assigned on the key module so it does not show as vacant. If that is not the case you may simply need to assign a different button table to the phone that does not have a key module associated with it. You need to delete the key module from the button table (using KEPRO I think) before you can delete the hardware.

I've done this once or twice before but would have to look up the exact process if this doesn't work for you. Depending on what software release you have and what you are using to administer the system it could be easier or more difficult. In LC-WIN you can just load the phone in question and go tot he button table screen and make sure it's not set to something like an RP612K or RP624K or something similar for an Optiset. If it is, make sure those buttons are empty, and then change the phone to a different button table.

If you need more post back and I'll look it up again.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, this switch does not have LC-Win so I have to do everything in MML.

I will try to assign a different button table to the phone or delete the key module from the button table.

If you are fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to still be running v 6.4 of the system you can use %CHASTN for your AMO and that will allow you to change the device type of the phone (if necessary) without having to delete it and put it back in. The only thing that's not simple is if you try to go from a multi-line phone to a single-line phone, in which case you need to make sure you delete all the lines except the primary off of the multi-line phone before trying it - otherwise it will whine halfway thru and make a mess. This would be, for example, if you have an RP624SLK configured and you want to change it to an RP624SL (no extra keo). They took that command away in 6.5 and didn't put it back till 6.6 but then you have to do it thru LC-Win.

I think you can also use CHA-KEPRO and give the extension, and where it has something like KEYM1STD you can make that blank (if all lines and DSS keys have been removed) and that should delete it off as well.

Use CHA-KEPRO by the station number and put in 99 for the KEYM1STD number, that should get rid of it. Then you can use SCSU to delete it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the %CHASTN command. Unfortunately, I am running V6.1 so i have to use the AMO's. I heard back from the Siemens and they pretty much confirmed what you said. You need to change the SCSU record to KEYM=0 and then set the key module to either 0 or 99 in KEPRO. Then you can delete the SCSU record.
I am noting this in my file for future.

Thank you for your help.

Dang! V6.1?? I started at 6.2 and that was in 1996! Must be an old puppy )

Glad to see you found the solution.
