good afternoon, I need help to set up the Siemens Hicom 300 PBX so that from an internal number, such as 4001, you can dial directly to No. 911 (emergency).
Research on setting up this type of PBX and the truth that I did not find much, any suggestions, ideas that will allow me to begin to understand the logic of this type of PBX is welcome.

You can change the LCOSV to 18 in the internal number and press number 3 before dial 911.

May I ask why you want to do that? Normally you would want a person fully aware when they're dialing 911 so there's less opportunities for accidents.

This is an overview, and to give you the actual instructions would require time I don't have right now - sorry.

If I was doing this I would start with DIS-LDPLN; and look at all the dialing rules set up in your system - especially which trunk group is currently being used to dial out 911. Then I would do DIS-LODR; to display all your current outdial rules. Finally I would use DIS-DPLN with type DGTS and look for 4001 to make sure it is not set up in the dial plan as a phone number or anything else yet. If that number is in there and has an R after it, it it clear; If it is not in there it is clear, and if it is in there with anything else it becomes a bit more work.

In short, If 4001 exists in DPLN with an R after it I would use DEL-DPLN type of digits, 4001, and you must enter what is listed for DAR (should be STN). That will delete 4001 out of the dial plan.

Now you have to create an Outdial rule using ADD-ODR, and the contents will be something like OUTPULSE 9 and then OUTPULSE 911.

Finally I would creat an new LDPLN using ADD-LDPLN to add the digit string 4001, and specify the same trunk group that 911 uses now, and specify the ODR you set up.

The end result should be that when someone dials 4001 the system does not find it in the DPLN, so it looks in LDPLN and finds the digits, then it goes to your Outdial Rule and dials 9 for an outside line, and then 911 on the same trunk group 911 is set up on now so in theory you shouldn't have to set anything special up for that.

Those instructions are by no means complete, but that is the general process I think I would use to do that.

Hope it at least gives you some stuff to look at!

Two alternate ways:
Setup an extension (float number or real number) 4001
Forward that number to 911 with external access code if necessary, using ZIEL/ACTDA

Other Way:
Add digit 4 as Speed Dial access code
Add 001 as a speed dial with 911 as destination with external access code if necessary

Oh sure.... Make it easy.... :eek:P
