Hi everyone!

I am having difficulties reprogramming my Hicom 118 e, because i cannot find a certain setting.

My Configuration;
Hicom 118e central
Three ISDN phone lines
Optiset E phones
V.24 programming, with original Assistant L software

As it is now, we use a day and night mode.
In day-mode, incoming calls are being processed as programmed in the Caller Management lists.
In night mode, first a DDI message is played (ext.nr. 873), after that the call is redirected to the night-mode-number (ext.nr. 883)
Please note that the nightmode is triggered from a external contact or #4 (phone entry), so it is not the "simple" forwarding by wich you can must enter a phone-number everytime it is turned on.

Now, in night mode, this works as follows;
- the incoming caller hears the message
- after the message a external phone number is dialled automaticly, so in fact, the call is forwarded to an external phone number.

My problem is, I want to alter the phone number, wich is the reciepient of the forwarded calls.
I know the telephone number wich it is beign transferred to, but i cannot trace this back to a setting in the Hicom 118e. (even with the Assistant L software, not even on the print-out of the configuration of the Hicom)

I assume there must be some kind of setting that links internal extension number 883 to the external phone number, but I cannot find it.
But maybe I am looking in a completely wrong direction here.....

Any help or hint to the right direction is very welcome, as at this point i am just blank.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It is possible there is a call forward on 883 to go to the external destination. Is 883 a physical extension or just a virtual? if its physical try plugging a phone in to it and if it is digital it will have on screen forward all to ....... If it is analog then you will probably have broken dial to to indicate the divert.

Assuming your numbering scheme is the same as I am used to then *11, co access number, number should be all you need.

Alternatively *83 may allow you to do 'associated feature' from a digital phone and allow you to remotely change the divert.

I can't remember if the 118 supports external destinations in the call management table but it could also be set in there for 883 to follow a table with an external number set.

Hope this gives you somewhere to look.

Hello C64,

You have lead me to the solution, the problem is solved now.

It turns out that virtual extension 883, was "just" the group wich calls are beign transferred to.
In the software, CM Managment, group 883 can be assigned to Ringing/Hunt Groups.

In my case, in the ringing group for "883", the digital extension 38 is the destination of DDI function.
(for all you fellow-nubies out there, ext. numbers with a star in front of them in the screen are digital, i just found out)

As mentioned in C64's post, on the main phone (ext.11) you can enter functions for another extension with the command *83.
I entered; *83
Then the digital extension number: 38
Then; *11 (forward all calls to:)
Then; the phone number wich is the reciepient

And Bob's your uncle.

So, C64, i cannot thank you enough for your help. Cheers!

Jan Roelof
