Hi,

I am currently on a three month internship with a small company who has bought and installed a Siemens 150 E OfficeOne and now wants me to research what functions they could implement.

My first question is how to properly identify the Siemens 150 E. It was sold to us as an OfficeOne, but somehow the components seem to match an OfficeCom instead. Can I use the HW-numbers ("Mother Board": S30810-Q2932-A201) as "identification", or is it a more complex issue?

Secondly my company would like to implement a UAM-Module so in case nobody can pick-up the phone during office hours the callers can receive a message saying "sorry, please try again later". I have searched for info on this UAM thing, but I could not find detailed infos on how to physically connect the UAM, nor a complete description of its functions and possibilities (recording possibilities, external cd-player and so on).

Neither have I been able to find a handbook/instruction manual on the 150 E OfficeOne/Com, which I also could use.

I appreciate all help.

Thank You very much!

Manual CDs are available on Ebay.

Most of the components between a ONE and a COM are identical.

Best of luck.

The difference between the hicom 150e models are as following:

Office one : 4 digital ports, 4 analog ports. No expansion possible.

Office point: 8 digital ports, 4 analog ports. 2 expansion slots

Office com: 8 digital ports, 4 analog ports. 6 expansion slots

And refering to the module you mention. I never heard of it. But i'm know that on the next siemens line "the hipath" There is a ivm module that is a voicemail card that can be used for voicemail and announcements.

There is also an Office Pro, which is larger - it can have up to 3 cabinets, each about 24" x 24". Each cabinet can hold up to 12 cards (I think) depending on how it is configured. The Office Pro has a feature called UCD (Universal Call Distribution) which is similar to ACD on the larger systems, but more scaled back and very little reporting.

You could use UCD to answer your trunks and play messages, queue calls, etc - you can even have it play an announcement and then send the call on to its destination.

The OfficePro is the largest of the Hicom 150 systems, and the one you are describing sounds like the smallest - I didn't even know there was one smaller than the OfficePoint.
