Hello all,
We have been trying to find a modern equivalent to sidekick but found nothing with the flexibility and capabilities of this great program. We were also trying to move our computers over to Ubuntu(linux) OS. After finding no replacement, we finally got sidekick 98/99 to work on wine with wine in windows 3.1 compatibility mode(sidekick 98 may work in latter compatibility) We also had some issue with label printing being vertical but not horizontal and found a label printer(QL 570) whose drivers worked with sidekick. I didnt have any success with crossover but that program dosnt have any early windows version(pre-Win95) compatibility modes. So I am just posting this so anyone going through the same search process as me can find it. Long Live Sidekick!

Dear Imogenus,

Very aptly named, and great news

Thanks

Thank you Imogenus! It can be done! But I have been trying to get Sidekick 98 to work on Ubuntu (and Lime) too, but with no success.
Can you please be a bit more explicit- What version of Ubuntu and Wine did you use?
