Sidekick 95 won't inport it's data

Hi There.... this is my first message to any forum, and I just discovered Tek-Tips.

The problem I'm having is trying to restore back-ups of the sidekick95 files to another computer. When I go to do the restore on the backed-up data, I get an error..
"Insufficient Disk Space - Drive C - Free Space -3815... bytes"

Any help on why I'm getting this would be appreciated. Should I upgrade this user to SDK98?

Further to that, this "new" machine that I'm trying to copy the sidekick identity to is a Win2000 Box, from a 98. Is there some sort of problem with restoring this sort of thing in Sidekick95 --> Windows 2000?

Dear thegreger,
Have you tried just backing up your Cardfiles in Explorer from the Userdata folder as Zip files onto a floppy and then extracting them to the Userdata folder on the new machine.
The same can be done with the Calendar etc but check

This will take you to the Starfish Faq's that are here at Tek-Tips and will explain the different files that constitute the Calendar, Expense files and whatnot.
Just do a
Find on this page
and then type in backup and be sure to read it all.
I myself don't tend to use the Backup and restore feature at all, preferring to do it all via SecondCopy (a 30 day trial is available from

http://www.SecondCopy.com)

and Zip files.
