Hi All

I am trying to find out where the shutdown log is generated when the server is shutdown using shutdown command ? Is there an equivalent to /etc/rc.log file, which is generated when the machine is started up ?
I have checked the following files. But they do not contain shutdown info.
/etc/rc.log
/etc/rc.log.old
/etc/shutdownlog
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
/var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log

Thanks

Bala

The file are /etc/shutdownlog and /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log or OLDsyslog.log

In /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log look for a line that states:
inet: Going down on signal 15

In the /etc/shutdownlog:
TimeStamp Halt: (hostname!root)
