shutdown & restart 1

I have a small network with 7 computers running windows xp Pro and sometimes I need to restart & shutdown units on the network. I've tried different switches from the command promnpt and nothing has worked. Do I need to do something to the remote unit before this gets accomplished?? Am I overlooking something small?? please help

here's a list of command that I've been using from the cmd prompnt. What am I doing wrong??



shutdown -m\\computername \r \t01

shutdown -r -f -m //computername -t01

shutdown -r -f -m \\computername -t01

shutdown -r -f -m \\groupname \\computername -t01
