Shrink my boxes!

For several days ALL my dialog boxes have been about twice the size they're supposed to be. I have no idea how they got that way and can't find a way to shrink them. Have tried resetting preferences and did a registry edit on one of them. Nothing had any effect.
Add Borders is about 7 x 5 inches. Picture Frames is 9 1/2 x 6. This is the minimized size. The boxes that are supposed to be adjustable go full screen if I maximize them, covering everything but my taskbar.
It's a pain in the butt to try to work by dragging a box out of the way to see my image, then dragging it back so I can see the controls.

What version of PSP are you running?

I'll go out on a limb, and say it is not a PSP issue, but a Display Settings Issue.
Are all other dialog boxes in other applications larger than normal? If so Right Click on your Desktop, click on properties, then Settings, and maybe change the Screen Resolution to something else, if it is set to 800*600 change it to 1024*768. Then O.K. your way out, and check PSP again.

Hello vacunita,
I am using PSP X. Just 15 minutes ago I got to wondering if there could be anything in Windows (XP Home) that could cause this, however my screen res. is the same as it's been for at least a year and all other apps I've opened seem normal, so can't imagine why Windows would only pick on PSP.

If everything else is normal, then Windows is probably not the culprit.

Maybe a cuztomization setting, although i've failed to encounter any setting that wouild enlarge dialog boxes in my copy of PSP.

Maybe you should try reinstalling PSP over itself, to refresh the executable file, and return everything to normal.

Vacunita,
I had thought I likely would have to uninstall & re-install PSP, but I have lots of tubes, frames, textures etc. that I hate to lose. Was thinking of doing backups of those folders. Now, your idea has me wondering if all my extra stuff would be left alone were I to reinstall over the present copy. Do you know if that would be the case?

They should not be touched, as the Insallshield doesn't delete folders, only creates them if not present and won;t delete anything in them.

Vacunita,
Just for your information; I tried to do a repair install but kept getting an installer error about one of those mile long filenames not being found. Wound up doing a sys restore and that shrunk my boxes back to normal size. Thanks a bunch for your efforts to help. Jay.

Sorry I could not be of more help, but am glad you got it sorted it out.
