I'm not sure if I'm just missing the obvious here, but I have a pie chart that shows some data, and in the Chart Expert > Legend Options: I have it set to show the percent of each slice of the total, and it neatly sums each slice and 100% at the bottom.

Now, on the exact same data, I'm trying to show it as a bar graph, but the bar graph > Legend options doesn't allow me to show the percentage? I'd want to just show each bar as a % of the whole. It's the same data, just a different representation of it.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
If I am not mistaken ( always a possibility), you cannot do that with any type except Pie and , if your dataset is appropriate, Stacked Bar graphs.

With a standard bar ( or line, etc) the graph does not 'know' the totals so it cannot compute a % of total for each bar..

that's kinda what I figured, thanks!!

Hi

You could do it but it would require a work around to the data by creating fields per data element and then another field for each showing data element cases/total cases. Then you would graph on these new fields.
