Hi,
I have a transaction table that has a lot of information about every transaction for the company. I have created a select critera to limit the business units and months that I would like. In the report I then have mulitply groupings that will show grouping levels and two months of data that the user choose in two separte columns. The columns are driven off of a detail A and detail B. For example the user selcts monthA and the detail for month A transactions are in detail A and the same is for month B where the detail is in detail B. So my question is if the user wants to see the detail of month B what do I do to show Detail B only?

If the user selects Month A or B from a parameter, then you can conditionally supress whichever detail section based on the parameter.

In Format/Section use the conditional suppression (X-2):

{?param}="Month A"

(change the values to match your parameter and the detail section you want to supress)

Thank you Chris for the responds, but I am a little confused. On the report both Month A and Month B are shown. So that the user can compare the two values. Then with the report run if the user wants to see more detail on Month A then they drill down on it and it would open only section detail A and surpress detail B. Does this clear it up.

Sorry for my confusion; are you grouping on something and then Hiding the details section? (based on your drilldown comment) Chris

Yes, I have 3 grouping levels that are shown and then the Detail section is hiding. So I would hit the MonthA total in group footer 3 and then wanting the Detail A section to show.

Thank you,
Becky
