Showing Included Service Charge with option for additional tip on credit slip

Hello,

We use MICROS symphony at the hotel and are currently trying to offer more transparency to the guest in regard to our 20% Service charge included for every transaction.

Currently the 20% Service Charge shows on the itemized receipt but it blends in with F&B Tax and Subtotal. After a credit slip prints it does not show a line for Included Tip. This results in guests double tipping which some will complain about later. Our policy is to verbally tell the guest that it's included but being in an international hotel and a loud clubby bar atmosphere- it is not often heard/understood by the guest.

How do we get the credit slip to print out as:

Subtotal 200.00
+ Included gratuity 40.00
+ Additional tip ______
Total ______
Signature _________

I've seen this done with ALOHA but I'd love to know the procedure so that I can pass it to my team.

Have your taxes and service charge print on your receipt

You can config a CC TIPS button in Simphony and manually type in the amount.
