1) Have you tried in safe mode? (And if you've tried there, maybe try again after stopping nonessential processes in task manager?)

2) What operating system, is booting to a dos prompt an option?

It's 10 O'Clock ( somewhere! ).
Are your registry and data backed up?

Have you run Ad-Aware, SpywareBlaster, SpyBot Search and Destroy?

I have ran spybot Adware, Bazooka, I have norton 2003 and I even uninstalled it and install 2004 to see if it found anything.
It would not bother me except when I clean everything out and the system check out clean. After a while clientman come back????? I have spybot running teatimer that reports when the reg is being change and nortons runs all the time. Arrggg. About ready to format and reinstall but I am afraid if I use The file and setting transfer I will bring it across. Any ideas???
Thanks Icon58

Yep, I'd agree about the file and settings transfer; that would be like using system restore - where viruses/spyware can be backed up as well.

First, I would also recommend getting the program, regscrubxp, from a reputable download site, such as . Install it, run it, and select all it's findings, and click remove/next whatever the option is. If it causes any problems (it won't be anything major if does), then just restore it, and scan again, sifting through the results. I've not had a problem, but on one occasion that I can remember - it caused Notepad.exe not to open from a shortcut. The good thing is, that it removed some spyware stuff that I couldn't get rid of with adaware nor spybot s&d.
