I did a show version on 2 3640 routers that have the same IOS installed. I did a show version and noticed that the lines specifying the IOS software on one 3640 and ROM: 3600 software indicate different images. I have another 3640 with this card installed, and the version names are the same in both lines (12.1 (5)T19). I have some boot loader messages on the one that has the different image names in the ROM statement and wonder if this is the problem. What would cause these to be different? This is the show version output on the machine that has the problem. How do you change it?

Thanks

IOS (tm) 3600 Software (C3640-IO3S56I-M), Version 12.1(5)T19, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: 3600 Software (C3640-IO3S56I-M), Version 12.1(22c), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Even though they run the same IOS, they have a different version of BIOS which you would have to replace.

This is the show version of the one that does not give me these errors. Both machines have this line between the two (which I omitted)

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 11.1(20)AA2, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

You see the version that is listed is the ios version in both statements. That is what confuses me. I didn't upgrade anything here except the ios and it is reflected in the ROM line as wee

IOS (tm) 3600 Software (C3640-IO3S56I-M), Version 12.1(5)T19, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: 3600 Software (C3640-IO3S56I-M), Version 12.1(5)T19, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
