Hello All,

I'm encountering a problem when trying to edit the SQL Statement via: DATABASE - SHOW SQL QUERY....

I'm not able to make any changes to the SQL statement behind my report?

Thanks for your help in advance?

Pat

Not like that. You might want to try using the Select Expert. What are you trying to do?

I see and error the where clause that's causing my report to draw incorrect data. So I'd like to directly edit the SQL statement.

I've changed SQL Statements using this method in previous versions of CR(CR 7.0)?

You couldn't edit ALL of the SQL statement in CR 7 either.

But you're right, this is version dependent, and knowing what versions you thought once did something isn't as important as your current version, please post basic technical information when requesting it.

BTW, I never allow any of my developers to edit SQL directly for several reasons.

dtempleton offered sound advice, rather than telling people how they must do something, try posting requirements, someone may offer another approach, and given your direction, most will be able to offer something better.
