i'm using Lotus Notes client 6 and I have a problem with my database in local. When I open the database, the message "Insufficient disk space, can't open file" will be shown, and it can't be opened.

1. I have found that the file size is about 4 GBs.
2. Already try using ncompact.exe tool with command "ncompact -B mdb.nsf". It's not working, the insufficient disk space message still.

Anyone can help me fix this ? how to make this file available to access again ?

Your help would be appreciated.

What is the ODS number for that database (check the tab on the db properties box) ?
Is it 43 ? Or less ?

Pascal.

So it is in R5 format, which means that it does not have a file size limit.
And you ran a compact with -B, which means that you focused on file-size reduction.

Maybe you should try running nfixup and then nupdall. I think that will update the ODS to 43 (the R6 format).

Maybe that will make the issue go away.

Pascal.
