I have a few layers I want to hide onload. Can anyone tell me how to stop them from flashing up until the rest of the page has finished loading. I have tried putting them last on the load order and placing a preload screen in front of them set first in the load order, but that didn't help.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Clayton.

Have you tried setting the layer to default invisible? This might make them invisible onload, but I'm not sure how you'd set it up so that they become visible once the page is loaded. Maybe using timelines or something. Perhaps there's a behavior I don't know about.

I know that there is an option to show/hide layers on load in dreamweaver 3, but not on Dreamweaver 2.I have tried to copy the code though from dream3 to dream2 and that doesnt seem to work - have you tried the Dream3 demo?

Did you ever find out the answer? I'm trying to figure out the same thing.

Are these layers you don't want to show until the user interacts with something on the page or you just want them to load last. If the former use show/hide layers behavior with default setting of hidden. If the latter you will need to use timelines or you might consider flash.

You are using DW 2? Peace
