I am currently using Symantec CAV version 10.0.1.1000

We have a few problems with cpu cycles on the server with RTVSCAN but its not a huge issue. Would I be wise to go ahead and upgrade to 10.1? I had a nightmare of a time going from 9 to 10 so Im kinda hesitent to upgrade unless there is a very good reason for it or 10.1 increases performance dramaticaly.

Any suggestions?

I just upgraded 5 servers from 10.0.1 to 10.1.4 and it worked very well. I was having terrible problems with CPU usage to the point that I was rebooting 3 or 4 of my servers every day. After upgrading the CPU issue completely went away. Also, client/server communication and definition rollout seemed to improve as well. An important thing to remember when upgrading is to the upgrade when logged into the server on a console. Do NOT perfrom the upgrade from a terminal server/remote desktop session.
