Option 11C - I've got a loop going down several times a day. The DCH doesn't go down and I can restore it on a temporary basis by disabling the DCH & loop for a minute or so. Here's a printout of the A end. I'm wondering If I should suspect the Card or the copper in this case, and can I suspect the card in the A end more than the B end as I never have to disable it to get the loop back up.

Not sure if it can be guessed by the printout but thought it was worth a try. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like to me your d-channel is dropping, hence the DCH: 14 RLS YEL ALRM. Yellow alarm typically means the near end. Put a loop back plug on it and see if the trouble is still there.

Ooops I forgot to mention that I had manually disabled the DCH prior to the printouts.

Hi have you had a look at the loi dai and ais prompt in ld 73 as these are the los of input and default to 0 0 0

ALARM PERSISTENCE MONITOR COUNT
MNEMONIC TIME TIME THRESHOLD
(HOURS)
CRT =120 TMT=50 SCT=20.(DASS OR DPNSS)
TBF 5 SECS 0 1
FAE 2 SECS 1 4
HER 1 MIN 1 10
TSF 0 MIN 0 0
AIS 1 MIN 1 6
LOI 6 SECS 1 6
DAI 1 MIN 1 6

All your DTA errors are telling you that you have received a YELLOW ALARM DTA005 and that the alarm has cleared DTA007.
A yellow means that your Transmit is not getting to the Central Office, I would call it into Telco

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

What I do when I see this:

1. Disable the DChannel
2. Disable the Loop
3. Disable the TMDI
4. SLFT the TMDI (closest thing you can do to re-seating the card without re-seating the card)

5. Make sure it passes
6. ENL the TMDI with FDL
7. ENLL X the loop
8. Watch Dchannel come back up

If you still get these then call the LEC to test with you.

But 99 times out of 100, if these were not happening yesterday and they started today (you don't need to be literal here) then its the LEC. Unless you are blindly making configuration changes to your switch PRI should run pretty clean.

If you are onsite and have multiple TMDI or PRI cards, then frog the cards to see where the trouble will follow.
