hi i am a novice using access, however i am creating a simple database for a website. this website will search the database for a picture and a description.

before i get too deep into the creation of the database, should i link or embed the pictures into the database, i just don't want to shoot myself in the foot later on down the road by not knowing which would work best.

Thanks for any feedback.

this depends on a few things... i will give my first and quickest responce here... size is a major issue with pictures... if you plan on having alot of pictures, then you will have to link them... a mdb can only be up to two gig's i think... and a picture database grow's very, very fast... if you plan on a small amount, embed them in the table will make the database run faster...

this is also from a database point of view, i don't know how it'll respond from a web portal...
