At one point in time, I saw somewhere that this was possible, but I cannot find where it is again. OK, my question.

I saw that there was a way to login to an NT workstation as a regular domain user, but the NT administration utilities were setup to use an administrator (Domain Admin) account when started from the shortcuts.

In other words, you are logged in to the NT workstation as a regular domain user. But your administration shortcuts, User Manager, Server Manager, etc. are configured to use an administrator account(Domain Admin). Some how, when the shortcut is started, the administrator(Domain Admin) account is logged in, and when the utility is closed, it loggs out the administrator (Domain Admin) account.

If anyone knows how to acomplish this, or knows a web site that describes this process, I would appreciate any information.

Yes, there is an easy way. Use the "SU" command from the NT Resource kit. It allows you to start a process as an "arbitrary user" There is a great .txt file (su.txt) in the resource kit that explains the usage.

David,
Thank you very much. I know there was something, but I just couldn't remember what it was.

Thanks Again.
