ShortCode Issue

Have a problem.. The shortcode of "9" has been removed accidentally. Now that shortcode has a feature of "secondarydialtone" but you cannot add that function back..

That feature is not in the list for some reason.. I'm working on a 1.1(30) IP403 Office system....


anyone heard of this problem?

Yes, there are, but the '9' entry that = secondarydialtone has been removed, and you cannot add it back..


when you try to add it back the 'secondardydialtone' feature is not in the list..

It's in there, just not in alphabetical order (like many of the options) It should be down on the bottom of the list...

Nope, its not in there..

The system was 1.1(27) and has been upgraded to 1.1(30)


Other Ideas?

I'm with JayNEC. It is in there, it should be 4th or 5th from the bottom of the list. If it is not, I would suggest that you save the current config, erase the config (Factory Default), and re-load it. After you re-load it, the short code still will not be there, but you should be able to add it! Remember that when you default it- the IP address is set back to 192.168.42.1, so you'll have to change your manager PC's IP Address to be on the same subnet to be able to get back in.

If this does not work, Default it again, and see if the short code is there by default. You May need to re-program it from scratch if it is!

Actually, I don't see what the firmware has to do with it. That functionality would be in the Manager application. Either uninstall and reinstall, or install a clean copy - to a different machine.

The firmware doesn't add shortcodes or additional capability to the Manager application, all it's done it fix internal bugs on the system. With the 1.3 release we will get new copies of all the apps to reflect the additional functionality.

Well, its not the manager app, unless the manager app has a bug in it.. This problem has been confirmed on multiple machines running the manager software...

I ended up just rolling back to a config that had it, and put my changed back in...


Only way I could fix it..
