Hi, i need to enable or disable mobile twinning from outside of the company dialing a short code.

Is it posible that me from my home call the company and when the auto attendant is on, just dial the short code that enable or disable twinning?? Can i dial short codes over an auto attendant and will they be valid??

Is necesary to have that auto attendant configured through voicemail pro or can be a normal auto attendant??

Thanks!!

No, you couldn't dial short codes as you wouldn't be recognised as a user on the system. But it can be configured.

If you already have mobile twinning enabled, the easiest options is to configure Mobile Call Control for your external phone. Read all about it in the IP Office Manager help.

If you did want it through voicemail, it would have to be Voicemail Pro. You would need to build in some security to check the CLI of the caller or the users voicemail code as it collects your extension number. But once done, a Generic action or a Personal Configuration action can be used to turn mobile twinning on/off.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks for your help. Mobile Call Control is not available for analog trunks, so i need another method.

Through voice mail pro is it possible to create any configuration where the user can dial a short code when the auto attendant is on??

Nor is twinning available for analog trunks!

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Twinning can be used on analog trunks but it is not advisable on analog trunks without a disconnect clear signal.
You must enable trunk to trunk transfer for it to work for external calls, Mobile call control ( press ## or ** ) is not possible on analog trunks.
With VM Pro you can enable/disable twinning using a generic action.

ok, so is possible enable or disabling twinning with voicemail pro?? Is possible to recive shortocodes on the auto attendant ??

If i call the IP Office and when the auto attendant takes the call, i can dial the short code to turn on twinning???

Did you actually read the first answer? I mean the whole answer? Like the bit about using Voicemail Pro!

You don't need shortcodes, you need to create a custom call flow, ensure it is secure, and link it to your AA.

You can also enable mobile twinning configuration as an option for a Get Mail action in Intuity mode. So now you've been give three ways that Voicemail Pro can do it (Get Mail action, Generic action, Personal Options Menu action).

But don't expect a comprehensive step by step, get you hands dirty on the product and learn. You'll discover that Voicemail Pro is very flexible.

So one example would be to create a module as follows:

1. Menu action that asks the caller to enter 3 digits.

2. Generic action that saves $KEY as $CP1.

3. Test Variable action that checks that $CP1 is a valid extension number.

4. Get Mail action where:

a. PIN on General tab is set to $ at minimum.
b. Mailbox on specifc tab is set to $CP1.
c. Option Provide Advanced Personal Options is selected.

5. Then, if you have an AA, link one of the key options (not announced in the AA prompts for some security obscurity) to the module. If you don't have an AA, route an ICR to voicemail and put a Get Mail action in the Default start point for Leave.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

thanks for your answer, im new in voicemail pro so i will try it!!
