Short Code for Intercom to a user 1

Hi all, I have a requst to program a short code, i.e. #121, to Intercom a user at (using the above example) extension 121. I have already programed user phone buttons to intercom certain users, and it works great. However the receptionist (using a 2420 phone) needs to be able to intercom any one of 50 users easily, and she does not have enough buttons . So I would like to be able to enable her to enter #121 for instance, and intercom with extension 121. Any ideas??

P.S. When doing this through button programming, there is a choice under emulation, "Dial Intercom" (which works great for the phone buttons!). However, this choice is nowhere when trying to program a shotr code

Try "Dial Direct" is you want to do it via a short code. Should work with most Avaya phones but not with alogs.
