Shopping cart questions

I have just completed my rewrite of my website using php and mysql, replacing the one I wrote 6 years ago with hard coding.

I am still using the Paypal checkout shopping cart, which is pretty limited and not having the features I would like to implement into my new website.

I'd like to put in a new shopping cart that offers the following features (please advise other that I may need):

1. Discount by:
a. Percentage
b. Fixed amount
c. Other formula

2. Accept credit card thru merchant account

3. Accept PayPal

4. Downloadable information by batch

5. eMail notification

6. Secure server

This is an area that is very new to me. I am only familiar with the Paypal shopping cart. So, please bear with me and tell me where to start. Or is this the proper forum to post this question?
