When we generate a shipping list for a customer's order, every fouth line is dropped. Drops out both on the printed ship list and fails to remove item from the live order report. Any direction would be appreciated

What is 42? Can you help me a bit more here?

Newbie90, I think franklin97355's point was that you didn't really give much information as to what you were talking about. What programs, hardware, and operating systems are involved in this process? How are these printouts made?

By the way, "the answer is 42" is a reference to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie, you wouldn't get it.

Thanks, I see your point. The hardware involved is a Dell Server running MS Server 2000, Dell Desktops running XP Pro, The software involved is MAS90 v3.71 & Crystal Reports

In MAS90, we go to Modules/Main/Sales Order Entry/ once there we enter our job number which bings up the customer's order, we select the completed items to produce a "Pick Order/Shipping Order" or manifest. When this shipping order is run/printed it automatically removes the items shipped from the "Live Orders" report. Our reports are generated in Crystal Reports.

I'm told the problem occurs on other desktops/users who are doing the same function.

The problem is: when you select [say] 25 items from the customer's order and populate the "sales order enrty" fields with those 25 items, every fourth item fails to print on the ship sheet and also those same 4th items fails to be removed from the "live orders report." By every fourth I mean line #4, line #8, line #12, and so on.

I'm also told that once in a great while this error happens in multiples of 5 rather than 4, but most of the time #4.

Lastly, I'm told that our vendor checked all codes and found no errors. While solving this is not my job, I can appreciate the effort the work around requires as well as the potential for missing the error.

I hope this is enough info to help you help me.
Meanwhile, I'll check out HH Guide
Thanks!

By your vendor checking the code, I assume you mean the code related to the MAS90 software. Has anyone checked your Crystal Reports?
