Yesterday I did a set location on a report and got a mapping screen indicating that a field was not mapped. After completing the set location, an attempt to save the file results in this error: "The document could not be saved in L:\....(network drive location). It has been saved in C:\...Temp\crw13.tmp.

I am, [hourglass] however, able to save it to the network drive (L:) with a different name.

When I attempt to rename the file, I get this error: "Cannot rename Weekly CMRs by Assignee: There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use.

What could be locking that report up?

Do you know if anyone else has access to the report on the network? If someone else has the report open then you will not be able to save the report. Also, right click on the report and look at the properties to make sure that the report is not read-only. If it is you will be unable to the save the report.

Generally it means that it's open elsewhere.

If it truly isn't open elsewhere, go in through Explorer and rename the old one, and then save your new one as that name if need be.
