heya, can any1 tell me if it's possible for someone else in the network to use a scanner installed on my PC or what do i need to make that possible?

The only way I have heard of sharing a Scanner over a network is with "SCSIShare" which was made by Stalker Software, Inc. Other than that, you could purchase a HP Scanner that supports networking and use their software which is called "HP Precisionscan LAN" to share the scanner on the network.
