Sharing private folders

Is it possible for a private folder under a user's mailbox to be accessed publicly?

Yes, but not terribly clever. Create a public folder, apply the permissions for the relevant users then put the data in.

I was thinking to do it that way, but the emails will not remain current, plus it copying emails over causes duplications. Other email clients have the ability to share specific mailbox folders.
