One more thorn in my side since installing WinXP. I have 2 printers installed using the same LPT port (1) that I switch back and forth using a data transfer switch. Now that I have XP, it appears that my default printer has designated access to that port, and the secondary printer is chopped liver. Any ideas?

Yes. If you have an OLD mechanical switch, the A B C switch,
replace that with an electronic one, like a Belkin.

Also, I really see no reason why 2 printers wouldn't work;
That is, if they are BOTH XP compatible. Many printers that are only 1.5 years old, or older are NOT supported by the manufacturers.
* Could this be a driver issue with printer # 2 ?

Thanks Jake! Deleting the printer and reinstalling with XP drivers did the trick. Frustration level back down to "manageable".
