We have a very small network of just the server and two workstations using WinXP Pro. We have always used the web based email (through the isp) but I absolutly can't stand it and would like to use a "real" email program. In the past I have used Eudora, Thunderbird, Outlook express, etc. Do any of these programs (or any others along these lines) allow the email (all portions of it) to be shared on a small network? And if it is possible how difficult is it do? I'm fairly computer literate but also know my limitations! any help or suggestions would be very greatly appreciated!!!

If your users have their own address through you ISP provider, you can create profiles on your PC's and configure Outlook for each user, or if you do not wish to use profiles you can configue Outlook for multiple user access again configuring the users settings (settings being POP3 account info)

Hope this helps, I think I reading you right, if not let me know.

Dont be afraid to share what you know. There are no losers in our arena, only self rightous monkeys atop their own tree.

We actually use the same email account. We can both open and use OUtlook Express but it does not have the same address book and whoever opens it gets the new email and we can't seem to share it. I will look at whatever settings there are and see if I can figure it out. Won't be till Monday though as I'm off work now!!! Yippee!!! Thanks for the input!

Tell OE to leave the email on the server and you will be able to see it.

The answer is "42"

If you do that, be sure to check the box to remove it after some number of days. Otherwise, you'll eventually use up your mail storage quota and messages to you will be bounced back to the sender.

Oh yea, that does make sense. Will give that a shot! Thanks All!!!
