Trying to share my contact subfolders with other users but don't know how to go about making this happen. My main "contacts" folder can be accessed by everyone fine, but I don't know how to access the subfolders that fall underneath the main "contacts" folder. When I try to open the folder from another computer I go into outlook then "Open Shared Contacts" then I click Name and "Global Address List is selected under "show name from the". The subfolder I want is no where to be found anywhere here, even though I have set up the folder to be shared by all the users. We are using Outlook 2003 with exchange 5.5. Thanks.

hi dude,

you have to change the ownership status. here's how you do it:

1. right click on folder (public folder)
2. click on "permission" tab
3. permission should be on "owner"

press ok.

the folder should now be visible for everyone

Subfolders need to be set similarly for permissions. Then each folder needs to be right clicked on each client then choose properties then outlook address book and tick it.

You'd be better off using public folders though.
