Whenever I reboot my Windows NT Terminal Server my c drive goes to unshared and I have to share it again. Is there anyway to get it to always share the c drive?? thanks

Hi,

I m aslo facing the same problem . I got the solution that is if your workstations are in domain u can do the settings in domain controled security policy . If this is difficult there is another way to reatins the sharing you can do it through registery settings.

Registry Settings
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServerParameters]
Value Name: AutoShareServer, AutoShareWks
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disable shares, 1 = enable)
You can enable it .

Hi,

there is another way that you can retain the shares instead of sharing c drive as a c$ you can share it as c only. But this will give u full permission for everyone. So u need to chaneg the permissions.

I am having an issue on my NT 4.0 server box. Same thing

I share the drives out.. Either as C$ d$ or just C and D and a few days later the share is gone.

Anyone figure out the reason behind this?
