Hi. I need to share a folder ie: c:\application name\folder1\datafiles as a network drive such as e:\(datafiles). I know there is a way to do this but I cannot for the life of me remeber what it is. After creating the network drive I should be ab le to disccoenct it from the server where it was created in other words although it does not exist it acts like a physical network drive on a remote server eventhough it is a logical shortcut to a physical local path. Phew. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Scrub that. I need to polsih up on google skills.
After sharing folder I went through network places and could map it as a network drive and assign a letter. It then show up in my computer. Sorry for wasted thread.
