How can I use VB6 to check if a directory is shared and - if not - share it?

I haven't looked up shares on a local computer, but I have done it for network computers. I got the code from:
You will have to do some work though to pull out only what you need, but this should do what you need. I used that for getting the shares, then I used shell commands to run (with command line options), the rmtshare.exe program, which you can download from microsoft, to add/remove shares, permissions, etc.

Good Luck

Cheers, this looks like its exactly what I'm looking for - will get back to you with my results!

Cheers
