I have set up a share on one of my XP Pro boxes so that my colleague can see some required files.

The trouble is that if he tries to launch a file such as an Access DB file from within the shared folder it gives the error message:

Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside of your intranet or on an untrusted site.
MS Access will not open the file due to potential security problems.

How can I get this file to open directly from the share rather than having to copy it to my desktop. TXT documents open ok. The file is on my intranet unlike the error message seem to think

any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Try

Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced
Scroll down to the Security section and uncheck the first two boxes.

Thanks Linney it worked a treat.

Have yourself a nice purple star!!!

Chris.
