I have several Access Databases that I would like to move to Sharepoint. I used the Publish to Sharepoint Wizard in Access but that simply puts the Access Database in a document library.

Is it possible to move the Access database to the Sharepoint SErvices Server so that I can edit the database within sharepoint as well as run reports and save those reports in Sharepoint? Or is this something that I would need Sharepoint SErver for?

I don't think that's possible as Sharepoint isn't meant to house Access databases but rather it is housed in a SQL database. So you really should look towards either building a custom list or a custom webpart I don't think there is a easy way of moving Access databases and be able to interact with it as if it was on your desktop.

Yeah, I'm finding that out. I have found ways to move tables to lists in Sharepoint but my big need is to enable the users to be able to run a report and view that report in Sharepoint. Supposedly it makes 'queries' from Access 'views' in Sharepoint but I have not successfully figured that out yet. I'll post back when I find some more info.

The right tool for the reporting job is SQL Server Reporting Services. Search this forum for "SSRS" or Google Sharepoint and SSRS for some integration ideas.

A virtual machine ate my accounting data. I transferred it to a physical box, then I beat it to smithereens with a sledgehammer. I feel better.

Thanks Phil, I'll give that a shot.

Most of what I'm finding involves Access 07 and Sharepoint 07 integration.
