Could someone please confirm that the product key for this product is static?
I was told there is ONE KEY FOR ALL. MSDN key is thesame as production key
and this same key is used by ALL comapnies in all environments,
pre-productioona and production.

Thanks

The product key is different, at least between the different versions (Enterprise, Professional, Search, etc),
so I suppose they regenerate keys for each individual company too.

However, I guess if you have a key and it is for the correct version, it will work no matter where you have gotten the setup files from.

Thanks sarcophil. That is correct. There are different keys for Standard, Enterprise and the Search versions. The key in MSDN is thesame as the one we were told is the production key which contradicts Microsoft MSDN agreement. I talked to colleagues from other companies and they are using this same key in their development environments. Just wanted to know if anyone has come across this issue.
